Volunteer Driver
We are looking for people who can drive and have the drive to make a difference! We need volunteers in the Manchester and Stockport area to drive the people we support to a variety of places and activities: from school runs to daytrips, from medical appointments to work experience sessions.
As a Volunteer Driver, you will collect a Together Trust vehicle (this could be a regular car, Multi-Purpose Vehicle, or minibus), perform a walkaround vehicle check, and then transport people we support from one location to another. This may include people with disabilities and / or challenging behaviours, but you will receive full training and will always be accompanied by a Passenger Assistant.
For this role you will need either:
a clean driving licence with category D entitlement
OR
a clean driving licence, that you have held for two years or more, and be aged 21 or over (this is a legal requirement for driving minibuses without a category d licence)
We are also looking for people who are calm and patient, and who identify with our values of being positive, passionate, professional, and supportive.
If this suits please apply and we can discuss further
