Research Volunteers

As a research volunteer, you will work with staff to support the research function of Healthwatch Manchester as we gather peoples views and experiences of using different health and social care services.

Healthwatch Manchester is a not-for-profit, independent organisation here to champion the rights of people involved with and affected by health and social care services in Manchester. As a research volunteer, you will work with staff to support the research function of Healthwatch Manchester as we gather peoples views and experiences of using different health and social care services. If you like exploring and getting to the heart of issues that affect people, this is the right role for you.
1. What do we expect from you?

At Healthwatch Manchester, we eagerly invite our dedicated research volunteers to embark on a transformative journey of exploring and investigating the complex issues of our vibrant local health and social care services, making it an accessible and engaging experience for all. Please make sure that a DBS check will be required for this role.

2. What does the role entail?

Conducting research projects to improve healthcare services in Manchester, making a positive impact on the community.
Identifying service issues based on feedback from local residents, ensuring their concerns are addressed.
Collaborating with a team of volunteers to create comprehensive research reports.
Contributing to the annual report of Healthwatch Manchester.
Visiting local health and social care facilities to gather information and provide support.
Attending regular support and supervision sessions for personal growth and mentorship.
