Read Easy UK is a national organisation in the country which provides a volunteer-led reading coaching programme for adults. Coordinators provide a mentor role to both readers and volunteer coaches to help facilitate our coaching services as well as . Required commitment equivalent to 1 day a week, though work can mostly be done remotely and flexibly around the volunteer's existing schedule. We are particularly looking for coordinators who can work in areas in North and East Manchester, ideally with availability in the daytime during the week. Training provided by ReadEasy UK and ongoing support available from the local group.
Key tasks:
Making first contact with new readers, conducting reader assessments if necessary
Assisting the Volunteer Recruiter with interviewing coaches
Pairing up trained coaches and readers based on location and availability
Arranging and attending first meetings between coaches and readers
Providing ongoing support to reading pairs through their coaching journey
