Nightstop Volunteer Host
Nightstop volunteer hosts open their homes to young homeless people facing a night on the streets or sleeping in an unsafe place.
Nightstop provides emergency, overnight accommodation for young people aged 16-25 who are at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness and have nowhere else to stay. Nightstop guests are placed in the homes of trained and vetted volunteer hosts who provide a safe and secure place for the guest to stay that evening.
Nightstop are always looking for more volunteers to ensure the service can continue the our preventative work, as youth homelessness continues to rise in Greater Manchester. By offering a 16-25-year-old a roof over their head, you will play an important role, intervening at a pivotal time in a young person’s life. Your support for a few nights provides a safety net and helps to prevent long-term homelessness.

You don’t need any specialist experience or qualifications to become a Nightstop host, and you will be given appropriate training.
All you need is a spare room in your home and a welcoming and supportive outlook. Our hosts come from all backgrounds but have one thing in common – the desire to help young homeless people in need.
