Music Mentor
We are looking for Music Mentors to help offer extra insights into singing and playing musical instruments to help our students fulfill the work set by the class teacher.
Do you love music and singing, and have skills you could pass onto other people? We are looking for Music Mentors to help offer extra insights into singing and playing musical instruments to help our students fulfill the work set by the class teacher.
At Bridge College in Openshaw we offer specialist Further Education to students aged 16 to 25 with disabilities, complex health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism, getting them ready for a happy, fulfilled adulthood. All our students have support workers to help them access our facilities, but having a volunteer with musical knowledge and passion would really help add an extra dimension to our activities!
If you're friendly, approachable, and have music skills, we would love to hear from you! You will have a lot of support from our friendly specialist staff so you need not worry if you've no experience in supporting people with disabilities. You will also gain valuable knowledge from our training in topics such as safeguarding and data protection which will be useful in other volunteering roles or jobs in education or social care.
We'll make sure you're not out of pocket for helping us as we reimburse all reasonable volunteering expenses. So to add to your CV, gain some great experience, or for the knowledge that you'll be making a great difference, apply today!
