South Manchester Men In Sheds are a small independent charity providing a space for people of all ages (especially older men) to meet, carry out craft projects, connect and support each other while reducing isolation and loneliness in their community. 
South Manchester Men In Sheds, based in Chorlton, are looking for someone with fundraising experience or an interest in generating income for a community group/small organisation. Support can be given from the UK Men's Sheds Association to assist in writing bids and applications so no previous knowledge of Men's Sheds is needed, just a willingness to learn a bit about them and the difference they can make! 
The applicant must:

Have good written communication skills.
Be able to search for appropriate funding opportunities.
Be able to write funding bids and grant applications. 

 
This role would be ideal for someone with a background or interest in fundraising, someone with experience in writing application forms, someone looking to gain experience working with a community group or charity, or someone starting out in their third sector career who would like to give some voluntary support in the community and gain experience.
