Foodbank Volunteer
Manchester Central Foodbank are looking for volunteers to help with various roles - helping with sessions, providing signposting support, sorting stock and remote media opportunities.
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
There are various roles available to support Manchester Central Foodbank across Central, North and East Manchester. We are looking for a variety of volunteers to support us in all aspects of the foodbank.
We are extremely busy, providing food for 1000 people per month in our sessions in Ardwick, Harpurhey and Openshaw. We need compassionate, non judgemental volunteers to help regularly at foodbank sessions. We need people willing to help sort stock and enourage donations on an ad-hoc basis and we also need people to volunteer remotely helping us with our social media platforms.
The majority of roles are regular, mid week roles. However we do have some opportunities for you to get involved from home, or in the evenings or weekend.
Register your interest below to receive the link to full role descriptions for all of our positions and to our volunteer application form.
