Foodbank Session Helpers
Small but happy and dedicated volunteer team of all ages who are very welcoming to everyone from all backgrounds!
Ardwick & Longsight Food Bank is a Christian-based food bank. We welcome volunteers from any background who are happy to work within the framework of our values and beliefs. Whilst we do not proselytise, we are happy to discuss Christian faith with clients and to offer them prayer for their situation.
We are a small but happy and dedicated volunteer team of all ages who are very welcoming to everyone from all backgrounds! Also we frequently have homemade cake and tea, perfect for re-fuelling during the session!
We welcome volunteers from the local community who could help:
At food bank sessions: lifting, transporting goods and food to the pantry into parcels, packing up parcels and fresh fruit and veg, greeting clients, being on the phones processing referrals
Outside of food bank sessions with stock collection and organisation
We have three shifts you could volunteer (you can choose as many or as few as you like):
Monday 9:30 - 13:00
Wednesday 16:30 - 19:00
Thursday 9:30 - 13:00
As the Food Bank is located upstairs in an old building, volunteers need to be able to climb stairs. If you are interested to help, please contact us for more information and an application form
