23rd May to 23rd May
Deafblind UK are looking for volunteers with experience of counselling at level 2 and above to support their Emotional Support programme.
This activity is brought to you by The Union in partnership with Manchester Community Central

At Deafblind UK, we want to create a world where people with sight and hearing loss can live life to the full.
Do you have Counselling qualifications and skills you want to put to good use?
We are looking for volunteers with experience of counselling at level 2 and above to support our Emotional Support programme.

Our six-week support service gives participants the chance to talk through feelings, thoughts and emotions during difficult times on a one-to-one basis with an advisor.
Volunteers provide support by telephone or video call usually on a weekly basis. This role involves volunteering unsupervised, from your own home. Ongoing support is available and you will also be given an induction and appropriate training.

All applicant volunteers are subject to an enhanced DBS check and must submit proof of relevant qualifications.

By joining us as an Emotional Support volunteer you will be providing a valuable and amazing service for people with a combined sight and hearing loss.
