Breaking Barriers Volunteer
Breaking Barriers are looking for volunteers who can support their refugee clients by delivering their Employment Foundations programme using the materials provided. This is a great opportunity for students or seasonal workers who are looking to gain experience working with refugees and/or delivering training.
About Breaking Barriers
Breaking Barriers offers a unique approach to helping refugees find meaningful employment, and thus rebuild their lives and integrate into their new home.
Employment Foundations Overview
Employment Foundation (EF) is a structured employment knowledge training programme created by Breaking Barriers that aims to help clients prepare to enter the UK labour market by giving them a solid foundation of employability knowledge.
By the time clients complete the programme, they will have a thorough understanding of how to search and apply for work independently, tailor CVs and cover letters, prepare for and succeed in job interviews, as well as their rights as employees.
