Carbon Literacy Train-the-Trainer Programme

22nd January to 26th January
Develop essential trainer skills, get paid to deliver Carbon Literacy training, make an impact on the biggest challenge of our time.
This activity is offered as part of Future Me Week - five days of exciting opportunities to develop your skills, deepen understanding, gain experience and take steps towards an exciting Future You.

Are you passionate about climate action? Do you want to educate others about climate change and what they can do about it? Do you want to develop essential trainer and communication skills? Then join Manchester Met’s Team of Carbon Literacy trainers!

Manchester Met is currently rolling out Carbon Literacy training across the University, and as a Student Carbon Literacy Trainer, you can play a key role in this ambitious programme! There will be opportunities to get paid to deliver Carbon Literacy training to other students, members of staff and our wider community.

Requirements

  • You must have attended regular Carbon Literacy training. You do not need to have a Carbon Literacy certificate, but you will be expected to gain one before you can deliver training.
  • You need to have attended a Carbon Literacy Session Assistant Workshop. If you have not attended this yet, you will not be eligible for this year’s Train-the-Trainer Programme (but there will be opportunities next year).
  • You need to commit to delivering a minimum of 2 Carbon Literacy training sessions following your participation in Train-the-Trainer
  • You must be available for all the dates of the Train-the-Trainer Programme (22nd, 23rd, & 26th January 2024).
  • You must have registered with Jobs 4 Students

Please note that spaces are limited and we may not be able to accept all applicants on this programme.

If you are accepted onto the Carbon Literacy Train-the-Trainer Programme, you will be exempt from Future Me Week activities that clash with the Train-the-Trainer sessions.

The deadline for applications is 9pm on Sunday 7th January.
