You might have already stumbled across Future Me week this year – it’s exciting set of opportunities for the whole university community to engage in new experiences and gain new skills and certifications.
And we’re really keen to let you influence what we put on!
Every student and member of staff is invited to bid for funding to commission an event during this week. All sorts of events are welcomed, from contests, guest artists and stalls to tutorials, workshops or even sporting activities. You can bring brilliant outside guests or do it yourself, either way it’s an excellent opportunity to share with the community and show your entrepreneurial spirit.
The deadline is tight – so dream big, think fast, and get your bids in quickly!
Alongside contributing your ideas for events, you might want to be part of the week as the team planning and producing a live music festival to celebrate the end of the week.
The third instalment of the Art School Live Festival will be back for Future Me Week, and we are looking for students to get involved in all aspects, from branding & marketing, camera operation & vision mixing to sound & lighting and event management. You will receive full training and get the chance to work in a professional, public-facing event. Find more about the role and the activity here: Art School Live – Plan & Produce a Hybrid Music Festival.

Future Me Week is all about your initiative and taking your skills to the next level, and running or assisting on one of our events is an even greater opportunity for you to gain new experiences and take full advantage of this week.
We are excited to keep sharing and updating you on our plans for Future Me Week, so keep on the lookout to not miss out on anything.
