Medical Writing Internship with Bioscript

25th May to 15th June
An opportunity to accelerate a career in Medical Writing in partnership with Bioscript, as part of an internship project aimed at BAME students in relevant subjects.

Are you a student from Black or Minority Ethnic background, in your second or third year of a life-science degree? Do you have an interest in progressing to a career in medical writing and communication? Then this opportunity to you.

This is the first of our Rise 'pre-graduate schemes'; opportunities to develop some of the skills and experiences normally gained through a graduate scheme once you have left University. Our pre-graduate schemes work to give you an extra boost in your career, and hopefully, put you on the right trajectory to land the job you want before you graduate!

Our Medical Writing Pre-Graduate Scheme takes the form of a virtual internship with Bioscript, a Cheshire based company offering a range of services across the global pharmaceutical industry. Bioscript is committed to diversifying the voices involved in the industry - and this internship is brought to you as part of their project to encourage more BAME students into the sector.

The internship will be entirely virtual, with lots of flexible activity to wrap around your other commitments. You will have the opportunity to undertake some core training delivered by the Bioscript development team, and to engage in a short live project which will give you evidence of your ability to work in medical writing. You will also engage in two-way mentoring; you will advise Bioscript on their training and recruitment approaches, and in exchange, they will offer career guidance as you aim for your first job.

In A Nutshell...

  • Step into a career ... applying health and life science knowledge to medical writing.
  • Upskill ... with an employer-authored learning programme.
  • Practical Experience ... with a supervised medical writing project.
  • Gain Recognition ... with a certificate of completion of the Bioscript / Man Met Rise pre-graduate scheme
